Pet Partners Handler Course (On-line)

Note: Please read all the information under the Therapy Animal Program tab before signing up for a course.

The Pet Partners Handler Training can be taken as an on-line course through Pet Partners. Handlers will learn about ways they can support their animal while on visits, interact with different types of clients, the real-life application of the standards/best practices of Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program. This will include preparing the handler for the team evaluation.

Pet Partners In-Person Handler Workshop is not currently being offered by ElderPet. It may be again in the future.

On-Line Course Through Pet Partners

Those wishing to take the course on-line need to register through the Volunteer Center at the Pet Partners website then register for the Handlers Course.  This course can be taken at the handler's convenience and costs $80. You will also have the opportunity to take other on-line classes.

Once the course is complete, the handler will need to register for a Team Evaluation.
